Have an American friend who sometimes posts me hard to find stuff I need from over the ditch or vice versa. He currently wants a whole lot of VW special tools (I don't think he'll get change from a grand) - mostly timing holding and such. Have the VW part numbers. Any suggestions of who does that kind of thing other then VW themselves.

Taiwan
there are sevral supplier's from there that make nearly all the spanners sockets ect. make several different quality's
they make the snap on blue piont stuff. ect
it can be very good quality.
cheapo spanners are normaly India
there are exceptions
some company's still make some tools in house.
snap on still make there own branded spanners . screw drivers ect I think
timming tools are diiferent . good quality still made in uk and Germany and a few others.
cheap copy made in china . not good generally and so on and so on
