Please excuse the ignorance of this question but..... I run a Skoda Estelle classic trials car, 1289cc engine running 4 Honda Fireblade carbs, reprofiled cam, flowed head with A series race valve springs and fully ballanced. At present it has an electronic module in the distributor but I want to go fully electronic. Can anyone suggest what unit I should go for bearing in mind that I am an ignoramus with regard to such things but if any programming is required can find a willing slave!!!
Megajolt is the cheapest and not to difficult to fit and setup
If they do it for your car the Acuspark 123 is an electronic distributor that replaces the standard 1, it has several maps built in and you can switch
them with a multi position switch.... Simples
Have a look at the accuspark stealth blackbox, it's a halfway house in that it has programable advance and dwell but works using a modified dizzy instead of crank sensor.
i owned one of the first stealth...
the first blackbox did not work at all.
the 2nd worked, but i wasnt able achieving a correct mapping for this engine (ford v6). either the engine was pinking or it was shwoing lack of
power.
so i sold it to somebody else....after some months the buyer contacted me asking about some help as he had similar problems on a 4cylinder
engine....and i think he re-sold the box again.

I've not had my car on the road with it yet, but setup seems to have been fairly simple, other option on a similar theme is the aldon automotive amethyst.
