Morning Guys
I'm currently looking at a gas flowed silvertop zetec head on ebay:
Ford Zetec 2.0 Gas Flowed Silver Top Cylinder Head
Apparently the sellers project was for it to go on a turbo conversion engine, am I right in thinking that they skim the head more for a turbo engine
than a N/A engine for compression reasons? If so would this be no good on my N/A engine?
Cheers
Other way round.
You want to lower the CR for forced induction and therefore add a thicker gasket.
Unless the head was skimmed during the work just to make sure its all square and fits flush.
I always struggle to get my head around compression etc!
So do you skim less for turbo and more for n/a?

Save your money if that's a fully ported head then god help us those valve really look like new exhust (not) have a look on the net about valve
sizes in zetec heads your be surprised
If you want a good head the it wont be cheap and it wont be on ebay
Just looked at the head.
Can't see in that picture if any porting has been done at all.
And if it has no caps for the cam journals then its scrap, as they are individually machined to the head during production and cannot be swapped from
another.
Seller had added "SOLD AS SEEN"
You'll do for me lads, I'm staying clear!
Thanks for the input, as always much appreciated.
Cheers
Leon
