Given the number of beautiful and safe countries in Europe, I find it hard to understand why would you would choose Bosnia.

I worked there for a couple of years... the country is stunning and the people are very friendly.

TBH, I felt safer walking about the streets of Sarajevo after a night on the lash than I do in most large UK cities!

The only things to be wary of in Bosnia are road accidents (driving standards ain't so hot and some rural-roads / cars are poorly maintained). There's also still a problem with landmines... the country has been extensively de-mined, but some still get washed up on river banks and some are occasionally found in the countryside. The locals can tell you where it's safe and where its not.

I didn't think there'd be many people on here that are also on the 75andzt forum! I was enjoying reading about that recently!

I run a zt 190 as a 'sensible' cheap barge and it's great. Don't go on the site too much as I don't need to but pop over from time to time and great for research whenever there's a problem.
