So like most on here we enjoy the loud pedal on our kit car..
Most of us are hard working home owners with a lot to loose..
Just read this article - Exp ress & Star

I thought Birmingham crown court came down hard on him ....

Seems like he got off lightly to me!

What message does it send out to uninsured - unlicensed drivers - willing to kill you, me, anyone..

perksy - 19/2/16 at 09:09 PM

It sends out the message that even *If* you get caught your only going to get a slap on the wrist

He could have lost control and wiped somebody out easily

Meanwhile the rest of will have to carry on finding the money to run our car/s honestly....

Looks like he totally got away with it points on a licence has hasn't really got and isn't in prison !!!

I love the shocking statement of "veered on to the wrong side of the road as he overtook other drivers"......

Our justice system does seem to be useless

A bloke local to me has just been to court for fleecing his employer,a small family run business, out of 85k which he blew gambling etc.
The business has 11 employees and nearly went under due to him.

So in court he gets a suspended sentence and has to pay back 3k

Back in 2012 my mate was caught at 147mph on the A24.
He was followed by an unmarked police bike that didn't have any way of pulling him over until he stopped at a roundabout.
Punishment was 6 months jail and just shy of 4k In fine.

In 2004 I was caught passing J20 of the M1 at 141mph at 1.30am
In court I was banned from driving for 56 days and fined £700

I know there's been a clamp down on speeding and driving in general in recent years but the wide range of punishment still available makes a mockery of things.
Set punishments for speeding similar to drink driving would slow people down I'm sure.
There will always be the ones that don't care ofcourse!
