Tesla performance demonstrated
pewe - 31/3/16 at 01:50 PM

So Bank Holiday Monday we're pull up at some local traffic lights.
Outside us there's a Tesla.
I commented to SWMBO that it should be interesting.
Lights go to green and in true Autosolo mode I'm off.....
Tesla driver obviously takes exception to a SAAB estate out-dragging him so gives it the beans and....
absolutely slaughters us.
Tesla -1, SAAB 2.3T - 0
Quite made my day.
Before anyone says it both he and I old enough to know better but it had to be done.
Cheers, Pewe10

This is really irresponsible of you.... you should be ashamed of yourself.... the poor Tesla driver dumped all his battery power into showing off to you and now has to walk home.... I hope your pleased with yourself

Lovely - like you say, sometimes you just have to be juvenile with these things

Have to say I didn't look at it that way, if you are fast then use it.

Test drove the P85D+, can confirm - launching it in insanity mode is - wait for it - insane! Probably the most raw acceleration I've ever felt in a car.

Seriously considered buying one, but do too much mileage in the countryside to make it worth waiting for it to charge all the time.

Wasn't it Jay Leno who despite not wanting one cornered himself into buying one.
He then commented there's nothing better than putting three fat mates into it, pressing the Insane button and out-dragging 911's....
See herelinky

Soon we'll all be driving silent means of transportation

This is worth a look - a well-known wimp trying to accelerate fast!

The Tesla P85D at last years BST did a 13.18 best 1/4mile time at 106.5MPH. That is compared with my 11.46 at 131.5MPH.

This the only time I've seen one compete.

My run, hopefully I will be a a bit quicker this year.

Chandler MARK Aston Martin DB7 101.6mph 14.91
