Ok, so in 8 days time I'll be setting off for Le mans with the Furore, so obviously a great time for the French fuel industry to go on strike!
It sounds as tho' probs over there are easing, but has anyone got recent experience of fuel supply in France, is there still a problem or not -
bearing in mind I have around a 160 - 180 mile "safe" range?
Hi Russ
As I am one of the group travelling with you I'm asking myself the same questions
Facebook contact with some of the LM regulars who live in France & camp with us are telling us that all is well & back to normal.
The French seem to want the Euro '16 footie to happen without incident, which seems fortunate for us motorsport fans.
Hope so, given my titchy fuel tank - 150 miles tops. See you in Neufchatel in a weeks time
Cheers
Matt
Hi Russ, I drove from Calais to St Tropez last Monday/Tuesday by AutoRoute without any sign of problems. On arrival local station was out of juice but fully functioning next day. I drove across country to Paul Rickard on Saturday with no further sign of trouble. Locals tell me the initial problem was panic buying, now basically resolved ( until the next strike of course, this France ).
Thanks for the info guys, you've confirmed what i thought was probably the case, usual media hype blowing things out of all proportion!
Matt D. look forward to meeting you next week! Let's hope for some decent weather!
