Escort anti roll bar.

Hi all,
just ordering bits to rebuild the front end of my Dutton Legerra which uses Escort front suspension.
Got a new set of poly bushes for the Track Control Arms, taken the Anti roll bar off and it looks very corroded so figure i'll get another one. Looked on Rally Design's page and they sell the "twin cam 20mm" one but how does this differ from the standard one?
I'm guessing it's made from thicker bar but are the threads on the end the same?
Any help from the old skool rally boys and their vast Escort knowledge would be appreciated. Cheers.
Scotty.

A thicker front anti-roll bar may not be a good idea; apart from reducing roll it will promote understeer.

Hi

all the threads are the same, but the twin cam is different to standard, it also requires different mounts other otherwise it pulls the legs to far forward. not sure how it would affect on your car, but a lot of escort owners fit them then had to get the correct mounts so it all line up properly

Nice one guys thanks for that, spoke to G S Escorts earlier and man they know their stuff. Turns out i have a standard anti roll bar and they did me a good used replacement for just £40.00 inc postage so well happy with that. reading on the escort forums it seem a lot of MK1 & 2 owners like to fit the Twin cam ARB exactly because it moves the wheels forward, they seem to feel it looks and handles better.
Tempted to get a pair of adjustable TCA's as well but they're about £140.00 a pair.
