As title - anybody aware of a reasonable replica of the A110? - not looking for a carved up beetle platform but something fairly authentic to the
original backbone chassis and decent body work?
Greg
I'd buy one, but I don't think there ever has been a true replica
Darrian offered one for a while, so might be worth talking to.
You can also get body panels from specialists serving the market for originals (for example
here), and a new chassis wouldn't be too difficult to do, but the
usual problem is that building up an accurate replica in such a way, the sum is worth very much less than the parts, at the end of the day.
Darrian did one years ago (beaten to it )- I think I've seen one being made in the US on madaboutkitcars as well as one in France a while
back?

I didn't realise Darrian were still making cars. I love the A110.
An image for those not familiar with the A110. I also love the look of the car!
There were several at FOS this year. Was amazed how tiny they are in the flesh.
There's a guy in Mexico building bodies for them, and another guy in Mexico who has a bunch of chassis drawings. A friend of mine purchased a
set of drawings, along with a Renault R8, but he's still sorting out the body in terms of cost, shipping and how to pay for it.
It may prove cheaper and easier to pick up a Dinalpin, rather than try to build one.
