Fibreglass course
Ugg10 - 28/9/16 at 08:45 PM

A few year back one of the mags (which kit, kit car or pcc) did an article on a course to learn about making fibreglass parts.

So, I have a mate (not a euphemism for me, honest) who would like to learn. Can anyone either remember who ran this course or know of or have been on a course that is currently available. Looking for an introduction, wet layup, moulds making, iirc the mag article started with a shape, made a mound and then the part so whole process in a day or two.

Thanks in advance.

Don't they run a workshop at Stoneleigh? Not sure if it's a proper course though.

Not sure of your location. However, here is a suggestion.

Many thanks everyone, starting to get a list together for him. Keep them coming, may be a useful list for future reference.

So far I/you have found -

Up north is a course for fibreglass manufacture –

http://www.ecfibreglasssupplies.co.uk/t-CoursesandWorkshops.aspx

This one is a bit more advances and more expensive

This one looks good, is reasonable and accredited city and guilds certificate (maritime biased)

Here is another, in Essex

I'll add to the list when they come in if I remember.
