I need to get a van and have been offered a really low mileage tdci. Do you think this would be capable of towing a 7 on a trailer?

Yes it should be capable of towing a 7 on a lightweight trailer with brakes
whilst it will pull it the van is just not big enough a case of tail wagging the dog
Transit Connects have very low towing capacities (800Kg).
You would probably need a light trailer to keep the weight below.
Vans are more likely to be pulled for weight checks!

Might be tight, it only has a 800KG tow weight, so would defo need to be a light trailer.
And with a Gross of 2240 - minus the van at 1415, and trailer at 800, only leaves you a few kgs of load in the van.

0ne owner, 11000 miles 2005 in as new condition... I was dubious about the mileage so mailed 'Michelle' to confirm it was correct and she
said yes had very little use...
So turn up to view... it's a 2 owner with the first being British gas and it has done 110,000 mile... and the bloke showing me the vehicle was

Next size up next good? Mate of mine has a Citreon dispatch he uses for his crossers.
Or maybe a git big one that the car will go in the back of? Most of the high top long wheel base ones have a 3.5t towing capacity and big old mam...
We have a Transit Connect at work. It's an OK little van, but it's lightweight and I'd be worried about a trailer having an effect on it's stability.
Didn't realise they could only tow 800kgs with is pretty useless better of with a diesel Astra which can tow 1150 kg
