While riding home from work tonight I thought of an amazing way to make money. I'll let you into my secret and you can pay me a percentage. Your
Welcome!!
So, you buy a vintage car with a snazzy short number plate. You sell and transfer the number plate to the new owner. You may make money. You contact
the DVLA for a new V5 / registration plate. They have to give you a old snazzy plate that reflects the age right?
You receive the new regulations that is just as snazzy and sell that on. Repeat and so on.
I assume the same would happen if someone bought a new 67 plate, something like BO67 MAN, and then wanted it on his next new car. The DVLA would issue
the car with a new registration that relates to the 67 age, so another (but boring). The same must work for really old cars as they can't make
them look newer than they are it's just that old plates are desirable. . . .
Your Welcome!
I accept PayPal and cash

When an old plate is taken off and a new (old) plate issued to the vehicle the new (old) plate is non transferable
Doh!

Fine, ill buy a 15k classic. Sell the plate for 5k. Get another plate on the car. Sell the car for 16k, as it went up in value while I owned it!!
6k profit in a few months.
Way to much time on your hands.
A classic car or even a kit car bought at the right price can be better than money in the bank
