After hearing a tv show narrator the other day i recognized his voice, i can only remember that he hosted a tv show a good few years back which was
based on a farm and there were two teams repurposing vehicles to then race around a track.
The show was crap and remember the host was also a tad annoying but still i would like to know who he is just to see what he is up to now.
any help appreciated.
Robert Llewellin (I think?) - He also played Kryton, in Red Dwarf.
Show may have been Scrapheap challenge. But was based in a scrapyard. (At one point in woking iirc).
Wasn't there something similar set in a disused power station. Had to build vehicles to go over an assault course?
My brain is hurting trying to think of the BBC(?) rival to scrapheap - is it this one the the OP is talking about?
I think there were three teams and they had to modify cars...I can see the (annoying) host too but memory and google is failing me too!
I think there may have been 3 teams, they had to spray them in a hurry and were marked on 'style' . they would do things like stitch 2 cars
together and have 2 men steering it.
the guy did the narrating on a discovery show 'rides'? i think.
just remembered there was co host who was a specialist,i think from some motorsport background.

Full metal challenge was the programme I was thinking about based in a power station. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_Metal_Challenge
Presenter was Henry rollins - has presented a few shows and is also one of the original metalcore band singers.
Boom!
Thunder races and Adrian Simpson.
been bugging me for days.
