Just bought a new set of wiper blades for SWMBOs car. Experience has shown that Bosch ones seem to work best and last longest.
Anyway they've just arrived at work and look OK. However Bosch make great play on the packaging that they use "Evodium" steel in
them.
What the hell is Evodium steel?
More importantly is it really an advance over other steels?
Seems like Bosch marketing speak to me
Marketing types have their own periodic table of elements.
Evodium sits just above Madeitupolene and therefore shares it's properties.
i googled it and it suggested imodium, similar maybe ?,seems like a made up word like unobtanium.
Gents,
I have to agree with both of you!
I too Googled "evodium" and imodium was suggested.

What! Unobtanium doesn't exist????
My Quantum uses garlicodium and they really do work. Not a vampire to be seen! lol
Sadly it is real and been around since 2007.
Whether it is vastly superior who can say but bosch say it is better than the usual spring steel used for the blade
quote:
The Evodium spring strip, designed for perfect alignment to the curvature of the windscreen of each model of vehicle, also gives more even distribution of the wiper blade pressure on the windscreen. Evodium is a special kind of Alloy which has property of flexibility and durability. The result is a clear wiping performance, low-noise operation, and more durable than conventional wiper blades.
Reminds me of an old ditty.
The Bolometer
The Bolometer is a kind of thermometer
Which can measure the heat of polar bears feet
At a distance of half a kilometre.
sorry about that.
Pretty sure wolverine's eyelids are made of this stuff...

Had to take retirement early when due to long term exposure I became sensitized and allergic to the increasingly common gas bullshitium. Even now I
have to limit exposure to avoid an angry emotional reaction. This means I need to avoid car dealers, repair garages, politicians, in fact I have to be
wary of exposure to anyone that describes themselves as a professional.
Apparently once such a sensitivity has developed there's no cure although I've been advised going to live on a canal boat can help

The o.p. did mention that bosch wiper blades perform better so maybe there is somthing in it and not just marketing hype.?
