What is this sump for? Curious because it seems pretty tall still.

It's a ford race sump.

I have been given a Ford modified one (full of holes) and have been asked to make a copy.
If my copy fits then I have three more to do.

The thing is, the one I have to copy is made using pressings which isn't feasible on a small scale, even if I had a 30 tonne press.

I'm guessing they need to replicate the original modified sump for racing because you could easily just add some square box wings to any sump to add volume
