or Audi fit sh!t ones on a >£100k R8 that after 12 months are corroded to buggery so you have to drill them out to get the lower engine cover off to carry out a full oil change (if you believe that they even did the oil change they charged for)...

I stopped using ally ones years ago Steel or stainless steel with knurled barrel or under head now.

Not had issues with any so far. Ally are good when you want a nice soft metal to bite in to a rough hole, steel are good for nice clean hole.

Audi dealers suck the oil out via the dip stick tube. Claim it's just as good (and saves them time/money). I did it as an experiment once then took the sump plug out to see how much was left... Quite a lot as it happens.
