4WD seven style kit at CarFest

I went to CarFest on Saturday, great time, and saw this 4 WD 7 style thing, thought I'd share it with you..... looked well made, no idea on price though.

Dax make or made four wheel drive as far as I remember

XCS now make the Rush. I think the Dax version was called the Quadra.

It's the DAX chassis I think. It's got their trick front suspension (camber compensation)

Dax definitely had a similar suspension at one point. Didn't their Rush Quadra hold the UK record for 0-100-0 for a while?

Didn't the DAX Quadra use Sierra 4x4 engine and running gear?

Seem to remember the engine being much further forward, with the driveshafts through the sump and front diff on the side of the sump?

If so, this one looks to have the engine further back.

There was also the tiger 4x4 that broke a few records I think Zcars had something to do with the car

Didn't the Tiger one have two bike engines, one driving rear wheels and one driving front wheels?

Think so. Didn't it blow a engine on dome TV program. Twin/dual gear change and the presenter fluffed a change. Only changed up one gearbox and the other one, got pushed well beyond its rev range... BANG!

Oh I don't question the point at all. Lightweight 4wd is the ultimate fun. Crazy launching, nice neutral grip through corners. I have a 330hp 1500kg RWD tin top and a 300HP 1200 kg AWD tin top, the old AWD is WAYYY more fun.

Have to agree, I also don't question the point - if you can do it and it works then get on with it.

Big HP in a lightweight RWD 7 style car can be hard to drive.

Yes definitely the DAX design.
Interestingly the 4WD Honda seems quite a straightforward to do with sourcing the right bits
