For absolutely no reason whatsoever a wasp as just stung my ankle.

Console yourself in the thought that the wasp WILL die!!

scootz - 2/7/10 at 07:11 PM

It's Bee's that die after losing their sting... Mr Waspy will come back for more (and more)!

Not guaranteed actually. I think youre confusing that wih a bee which leaves its sting and then dies. A wasp doesnt as it injects a poison using its sting.

Paul TigerB6 - 2/7/10 at 07:19 PM

i stand corrected - course its a bee that dies. The wasp will die when Jon catches it mind!!!

Ninehigh - 2/7/10 at 07:27 PM

Well as Clarkson said, they're trying to take over the world

omega0684 - 2/7/10 at 07:36 PM

its only Bee drones (worker bees) that can only sting you once, bumble bees can sting you as many times as you like!

The wasp stung you to test you manlyness..... FAIL

mangogrooveworkshop - 2/7/10 at 07:51 PM

Speaking from a swarm victims point of view ......they all hurt.....
I got stung as a kid and my temple/face had 180 stings in it...that was when they stopped counting
Oh to give me a shot of adrenalin to keep my heart going.....

Scrape the sting out with a credit card....and not as they did to me with tweezers

I think that's the winner of the "ouch" stakes here, but I imagine the hospital would rather use tweezers than a manky credit card...

ReMan - 3/7/10 at 08:01 AM

Standard operating procedure though is to get a pair of scissors and "flick" it out with the edge of the blade. Using tweezers is bad because you squeeze the venom sack, making the sting worse than it needed to be.

Ah yes good point
