I assume that Women can still park in the normal car parks?

Could not have that here with the discrimination laws, or could we?

It tends to smack of an insult, wonder what the lady readers on here think?

I think this is ludicrous. We should all go march on that saying it's against our human rights to be banned from there on the basis of being male.

On the other hand if I was a rapist in China I'd know a good place to go now

This is fun

If anyone wants to get a bit tight about Women drivers read the other news link
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/middle_east/7159077.stm

Suggest that Women drivers here could not drive and we would be in serious trouble, just shows how liberal we are.

Adrian

p.s. Women drivers are good, honest.

Anybody thought that the wider spaces may be there simply because it is mainly women who are driving around with prams, buggies, screaming babies and unruly toddlers? It is not disimilar to designated spaces outside local tesco, just on a larger scale.

Regards,

Milenah (Mrs Worx)

The only problem with that is that whenever I use parent and child spaces, I typically see more than half the cars (counting only legitimate users) are driven by men, possibly because even today, when a family go out together, the man usually drives. This may of course be a product of the times that I go, ie: after work or at weekends, when many families are together.

On a lighter note......I blame you guys for this

Don't you realise that with your brainwashing of your women that : 2 = 8 ....

It is of little wonder that some women find it hard to judge parking between the lines.

On a more serious note, I agree with Milenah....they are aimed at Mums with youngsters......and it is either shoddy reporting that Mums = ALL women, or something that has been lost in translation....

I wouldn't think that for one minute that dads taking the kids shopping wouldn't be allowed to use the car park...but that wouldn't make an amusing story, or indeed even make the BBC news......

Make all parking spaces square so it does not matter at what angle you leave the car

Another thought........
Why aren't all parking spaces at hospitals, disabled spaces?

Dont get me started on Hospital Parking....

I put over £100 in the meter when i was waiting for little man to arrive

I dont see why they charge for parking at hospitals. No-one WANTS to be there.

The difference is that although you may not want to be there, you HAVE to be there.

Having been to China I think the idea that a Chinese dad would be taking his kids shopping without the wife to be, culturally, unlikely at best.

They use charging to limit the amount of time visitors hang around. If they didn't you probably wouldn't have even have found a space due to the 30 seemingly random people turning up to visit some people.

Also since a lot of old hospitals are close to city centres they'd be stuffed full of tightwad shoppers if they were free.

Some hospitals give you a token or piece of paper to cover parking fees if you HAVE to be there for a long time - you hand it to the attendant when you leave.

Not enough hospitals do this, though.
