Nice (but I much prefer the later one with the flush headlights and I prefer the Shuvit Hunchback to the saloon)

Nice job. Was it for a customer or are you selling it now it's finished? And how on earth do you value a car like that???

In answer to a few questions......

Nope not from Mkt Bosworth, its from lincolnshire.

It's a customer's car, he commissioned the build, we offered the odd bit of guidance as we went along. We received the car on 1st September '09. We've done two other restorations alongside it though!

The chevette was officially our first "customer commission" so its nice to have several magazines already looking to feature it, and a VERY happy customer when he test drove it last week!

To be honest it was "finished" before christmas, but we didn't shake it down etc. due to the weather and the fact that we were waiting for the door cards to come back from the trimmers.

Very difficult to value, but its got to be around £6000 I would estimate. Its basically new, although the engine and box are good, used items. The axle was very expensively rebuilt, cost over £300 in bearings alone (with full trade discount). Every moving part of the suspension is either new, or shotblasted and painted in 2K.

There are a lot more pics on our website, www.retropower.co.uk

Yep, certainly is!

cheers for the complements!

Anyway, before my head swells too much, I'd better go and carry on swearing at/ fitting Jag IRS to, a MK1 Capri RS2600 rep, and refabricating a manta!!

I had a look at the Chevette last month while down at Retro...

It is a new car, it is very very clean !

I Particularly liked the steel wheels with wide rubber, nice one..

You could sell a yard full of them !
