Volvo Tintop ECU Question

Mate's got a 2000 model V70R AWD Turbo and the electrical gremlins have moved in.
Engine light keeps coming on and each time a different fault code is logged. We've had
Cam sensor, VVT fault, System rich bank 1 and Random cylinder misfire so far.
Clear the codes and it runs fine again.
Suspecting the ECU may be on the way out. So....will the ECU from a T5 go straight in ?
Bit more oomph etc

Edit to correct model

a 2000 model 850 ?

dont you mean V70 ?

itll be coded , so unless you have somebody who can wipe the code from parts , then no .

im sure you could try it and see what happens , but i doubt an 850 ecu will fit since yours would be me7 against me4 motronic .

try t5d5.org for parts anyway , it could just be a simple fault also .

My first suspect is the earth connection to the ecu.
