Anyone here rebuild turbo's?
Right. a mate's GSI turbo has packed in. Just removed the turbo and its had it. The compressor wheel has also eaten itself.
He dropped of the car with a replacment turbo he bought from eBay from a VXR. I have took this apart to inspect it and this is also knackered. lots of
end float and the compressor has also eaten its self aswell.
The car is a 2002 Astra GSI turbo. Tried ringing a few places but there all shut.
Or i can rebuild the turbo but i will need to get it balanced up.
Can anyone help?
Thanks.

Dunno whether it'll help in any way but you could mention Richard from Ben Johnson's recommended them.

rebuilding a turbo isn't difficult its the fact that you have to have them rebalanced when put back together
I love Pinto's, even if i did get mine from P&O!
