I bought a pair for the tintop a month or so ago from an eBay seller for £8.25 delivered.

They don't have any for sale at the mo' but there's loads of other sellers.

They were 3M, perfect and delivered the next day

From V796 http://www.dft.gov.uk/dvla/forms/~/media/pdf/leaflets/V796.ashx

Character height 79 mm
Character width (except the figure 1 or letter I) 50 mm
Character stroke 14 mm
Space between characters 11 mm
Space between groups 33 mm
Top, bottom and side margins (minimum) 11 mm
Space between vertical lines 19 mm

So minimum height is 101mm, width depends on the number of character and number of 1's and I's.
