Saw a merc today - was in a BAD way
Was driving into work this morning, saw a AMG merc carbrolete (sorry not up on mercs) - looked like a c class sort of size.
08 reg, 6.2 engine, massive brakes - looked really nice, UNTIL i noticed the off side rear wheel was at about 30 degrees from veritical! I thought it
might be a bodged lowering job till he turned a left hand bend, and the wheel moved to vertical, and the whole car sort of squirmed sideways round
it!!
I thought the wheel was going to fall off, tried to signal to the people in the car, but they looked at me like I had two heads.
I couldnt figure out what was going on, as it couldn't have been a loose wheel, because it would have gone 30 dengrees the other way on the left
hand bend - instead it just straightend up to the vertical.
I can only guess is has SLAMMED a kerb at some point, and knackered the rear carrier/wishbones/bearings - who knows.
Certainly NOT safe to drive - dont know how the bloke couldnt feel it - the whole car raised up, and squirmed around it whenever he turned to the left
slightly.
Crazy.
Any ideas what it could have been and what caused it?

Senility probably
Sorry, thought you meant the lack of ability to feel the pending doom
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

That one ^^^ seems to have remarkably little visible damage considering what it's done!

I was going down the M1 quite a few years ago, doing about 70 when this merc went past me doing about 20mph more. The thing is, his off side rear
wheel was bouncing about a foot clear of the road (Whilst/Still attached to the vehicle).
Beware of the Goldfish in the tulip mines. The ONLY defence against them is smoking peanut butter sandwiches.
