Vauxhall diagnostic question
I am having trouble with the tickover on my 2000 Corsa B 1.0 GSI - I've replaced the idle control thingy and the MAF sensor , but's still
all over the place - anything between 950rpm and 1750rpm , and also revs up and down between 1500 and 2000rpm while rolling in neutral .
I have been told that the ECU needs re-setting after changing stuff , also that there may be a speed sensor issue with the clocks
So..........in proper locost style I want to just buy the lead and software for my PC and try and sort it myself - but after more than a little time
spent on google and ebay , I cant figure out what lead or software to buy
Anybody know what I am looking for (or better still , have what I need that I could borrow) ?
Its cuz I is blond , innit

but being a 2000 model you on the cusp of needing something more technological.
Ps how can it be a 1.0 GSI? GSis are 1.6?!

surely to reset the ecu you can just pull the fuse for the ecu or disconnect the battery for 10 minutes or so?
This works on my Saab which is basically the same system (Saabs use the Tech 2 aswell)
"That thing you're thinking - it wont be that."

Also you may need to check your cooland temp sensor. If that is playing up the idle will be all over the place due to ECU over fueling. But you will
need diag machine to check the parameters.
