Help - Cheap Metal Suppliers
I already know that Mackays in East Road in Cambridge are expensive.
Parker Steel is better for large quantities and stock lengths.
Can anyone reccomend a good and cheap metal supplier prefereably in the Cambridge area, or close by within reason, or an online supplier that delivers
cheaply.
a mate of mine is looking for some steel stock.
I thought I would tap on the fount of wisdom and knowlege that lurks here!

No use to you but John Stansfeld in leeds is usually regarded as well priced. Worth getting a price off them just for comparison.

At work we use AJN who are just the other side of newmarket from cambridge, No idea what they are like for price but we get a fair bit from them soI
assume there not too pricey.

I get all mine from Suffolk steel stockholders, in sudbury, right next to the supermarket (Tesco?) on the bypass.

Not much room down there. there was a firm that did refrig' work ss and laser cutting.
Wnder if its going there ?

I always get mine from Mackays mainly because the service is quick and I don't have to waste time and fuel getting there.
