What is FRP?
Is it Fibre Reinforced Polymers? Or GRP as we would know it? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibre-reinforced_plastic
Spotted this on ebay:-
Datsun 240Z
Looks an interesting way to a rot free, 240Z, just need to add a big Nissan twin turbo drivetrain!

FRP is fibre-reinforced plastic, so it's a generic name that covers glass, carbon fibre, kevlar etc. and all the types of resin.

Love it. I saw an original 240Z kitted out as a rally car. It looked the nuts, and had a straight six engine in it IIRC.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

I thought FRP was foam sandwich. Foam core mat with GRP either side, to reduce weight in the lay up and increase stiffness. As used in modern sailing
dinghies.

So is FRP not the manufacturer? Same as a "Rally Design aluminium hub" for example?
If they produce and market their own product then it would be an FRP Bodyshell.
Look at the price lists, and it will start to make sense.
Kindest Regards,
Richard.

It looks like FRP is the company and the lay up.
As per their quote;
Depending on your application we can modify the FRP
lay up of the body tubs / panels to suit your project.

From their own website "Here at FRP Automotive we pride ourselves on being at the forefront of FRP (Fibre Reinforced Polymer) production."
