I like it, think its a good project. Saw it a while back on gizmag.
All up for electric vehicles. Means less people using the petrol I want

If disfunction is a function, then I must be some kind of genius.

It's all current technology, nothing new is being developed here. They are essentially taking the best examples of modern motors and batteries they can find and packaging them together in a lightweight car. Whilst it's not a trivial task, this isn't ground breaking stuff, and I doubt it's going to advance the cause of electric vehicles since it will still have many of the disadvantages of current electric vehicles even if they do manage to improve the range.

I'm surprised they consider the control system for synchronising the motors is such a challenge, if Russ has no problems with individual bike engines driving the wheels on his car, I wouldn't have thought using brushless motors (which are easily speed controllable) would be especially difficult.

I think it's awesome. As said, it won't actually advance the cause much, but it's still a very good project and is using the technology in a different package.

However, don't think I'd have picked a radical for a trip of several thousand miles across latin america! I'll be impressed if it survives.
