Yes, in some ways a brake fluid leak is worse than a petrol one.

Petrol if sprayed on a hot surface will just evaporate and not catch fire. Brake fluid will ignite on a hot surface... Assuming no other source of ignition.

Try it, but not on your car!!

Always worth remembering how flamable brake fluid is. It causes more fires in cars than petrol.

It's worth checking that, if you have a resevoir that pushes into the master cylinder, that there's something to secure it. In an accident they can pop out and if the splash gets on the manifold it'll ignite. Even a zip tie around it will do the job.

Debris taking out a brake pipe is just bad luck though.

That's not good - you're on fire AND you can't stop...

He showed amazing presence of mind to guide that car, with no brakes, to a stop before he got out. It must have been an interminable wait for that Exige to roll to a stop with it burning brightly behind him. Hope some of the other drivers bought him a beer after the race....

Tricky. If he's spanked it against the arnco to stop it he might have jammed the door shut. Perhaps best option = open door, into arnco, leg it.

No doubt it will all be in next month's Evo as Roger Green writes for them. There is probably already some info about it in the recent issues but I'm about 3 behind at the moment!

Come on, come on stop damn you. . . . bang (into armco), right play it cool and just roll out. . . . . smooth eh.

Oh yeah that is a big fire, couldn't of been my fault!
