Malta is lovely. The weather is good, the food is good, there's plenty to see if you like ancient walled towns and cathedrals. The knights
templar place is worth a visit. And almost everyone can speak English.
Malta has no fresh water. The tap water is desalinated and so tastes of Chlorine. But bottled. Malta is a rocky island and has no natural beaches.
There are a couple of small man made ones.
A day trip to Gozo is goo dday out. Crystal clear water down to the sea bed and nice beaches.

What about contacting Charles aka clutch_kick or Phil aka thepest, met both of them when they came over to MNR, nice pair of lads, I'm sure
they'll give you a run down of what hot and what not!
Cheers

I was in Gozo a couple of years ago. Mostly diving, there are some classic dives there - trying to remember but the blue hole and inland sea cave dive
come to mind. We rented tanks from Gozo Diving, loads of fish, do a course??

Qawra & Bugibba don't really offer much, car hire is a must, as you might expect traffic rules are very like the uk there are differences,
your car hire company & most guide books have info on this so check up before you go. Generally just allow a bit of old fashioned give and
take and you will have no problems as the Maltese are very polite on and off the road.
Watch the road surfaces if you hire a car, because of local materials and conditions the surfaces get polished to a completely smooth glass like
surface can get quite slippery, and on the rare occasions it rains it is like driving on ice.
Best bathing beach an easy drive from where you are is Mellieha Bay
Must dos are the ancient walled city of Mdina --- good to do on a sunny day as it is nice and shaded enroute you can visit Mostar.
Valleta --- leave the car in a car park in Sliema and get the ferry across.
If you do some Googling on Malta history you will find tens of dozens of historical site & museums.

Just remembered the name of the other good sandy bays in the north of Malta, they are in the North west of the island : Ghajn Tuffieh Bay and
right beside it The Golden Bay
