hi chaps,
is there a site where i can check the owner of a car?
away from cars, now cycling and building TT bikes

If you have a good enough reason, then you can apply to DVLA... near enough has to be a 'life or death' matter these days though!

Phone up the car makes dealer in the area and "check" the details they have for the car are correct.

Here in Sweden all you need is to write down the numbers on the plate. Check on the internet (Swedish Transport Agency) if it´s the right car and if
you got a fax you can get the 3 latest owners of the car, any tax debt or if failed last SVA.
Then there´s no problem to get the persons social security number, just a phone call away.
Nothing that´s gonna help you now, but if you ever buy a car from sweden it´s good to know
