Retaining a private reg from a stolen car?
Evening all,
A mate of mine has had his MGB nicked, while out shopping today.
He pretty cut up about it, and he's also worried he's lost the private plate, that was his late father's.
I'm fairly sure that you can transfer the plate from the vehicle still, if you have the paperwork.
Does anyone know if that' right or not?
Cheers Frank.

Yes, no problem, just make sure it gets done before the vehicle is scrapped (if it ever comes back) or he could lose it forever on a dumbass
technicality.

need to get it sorted before insurance pay out, if they pay out then the car and reg are their property.
I lost one like that! damn annoying this was that the plate was far more than they paid out for the car
heavy is good, heavy is reliable, and if it breaks, hit them with it
