from memory the westfield diesel in PPC a while back used a VAG 1.9TD with toyota box (with some american adapter kit)

but then you can buy a bellhousing for a VAG to type 9 aswell

So do i, been pondering it for a while, ideally to drop into a standard looking, but heavily modified morris minor traveller as a daily run about, loads of poke, a gazillion miles to the gallon and no road tax.....result.

BMW 330D. 320D IIRC. Most of the small 4x4 diesels. But engines shouldn't be in the front anyway

That the beauty of the sonic 7 just transplant the whole engine and gearbox the the rear of the car

I used to have a 6 speed Cmax and given the use that my idea would be used for its 6th speed would be ideal, bearing in mind its for a 50 mile each way commute with much of it on motorway

If only affordable audi longitudinal FWD cars were reasonably powerful, shame they're mostly heavy!
