1971 lotus elite
Any one got access to a Lotus elite 1971, got a neighbour who needs 2 gas struts for the bonnet (rear)
Need to know the closed and open length.
I appreciate its a long shot but this site usually come up trumps.
Cheers Pif

Can't help with the question but, are you sure it's an Elite? Early Elites were made 56-63 then the later one from '74 and both
front engined.

it may be a 74 although it has a 71 plate on. It could be a private plate.
saturday, saw your car in the car park and kept an eye open for you all day. Then I saw you at the lights through the double speed cameras where the 2
bikes almost stalled off the line. then tried to catch you up after you blasted them both away. Hovered next to you at the iron bridge to get your
atention.
cheers chris

It did occured to me you might be there. I nearly rear ended the second bike when she almost stalled it when I was expecting her to leave you at the
lights. Then wondered what the numpty was doing hovering next to me. Avoided looking around as it's usualy some kid in his dads car, so just
squirted it and didn't brake for Davenham island. Figured it out when you caught up... and called me a hooligan!

Measure the open and closed lengths and end fixing types --- most motor factors can look up a part number from that info alone.
Otherwise any of the classic Lotus specialists can supply.
