Garage heating again. Thermostat ?
Hi All.
I have a Dimplex electric wall mounted heater that I would like to run through a room thermostat.
At the moment on a low setting it just switches on and off repeatedly regardless of the temperature in the garage
and on a higher setting it stays on all the time.
I would like it to stay on, but switch off if the temperature gets above a pre set level, (say 55F)
with the t/stat mounted on the opposite wall to the heater.
Best thing so far that I've seen is this on ebay for £22. (switches 3kw)

Is there a better way?
Any c/h fitters out there with any s/h stuff or advice?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Cheers,
Paul G

Trouble is a CH Stat will only handle control current. So by the time you've bought the stat and the programmer if you want to time the
operation then a suitable relay and faffed about you might as well buy the Ebay jobbie.

Thanks for the advice Bob.
In the absence of any other ideas I've been to the bay and bought the one in the pic.
Cheers,
