Advice on TIG welder needed.

Hi, I have been offered a TIGTRONIC 165 machine, (single and three phase selectable), for a very reasonable price, it does need a repair though as I am informed that it needs a new relay somewhere. Does anybody know this make and whether it's possable to get spares. Plus is it any good, in as far as a TIG machine goes. Thanks Ray

Can't comment on the welder but from an electrical point of view if it's just a relay that's gone you'll be able to source one from a factors or RS and the like.

Hi Ray

Try the following people in Horsham, they repaired my Tig this year and it was one of the Chinese ones, had no problem doing it and really friendly.

If its very heavy, coil wound TIG then not much to go wrong with it, if it's an invertor then be very careful if already bust.

Hi mate, well this one is just £40, so definately think it's worth a punt.

And as for weight, if it wasn't on wheels you wouldn't be able to move it. :-)
Cheers Ray
