pay and display parking

If I have displayed a ticket for parking my car but the screen is covered in snow, how can the wardens tell if it has expired?

I think you're making the assumption that they aren't sat in the Police canteen or local cafe.

We all know they will just do it using the cameras and just send a fine in the post when you've been parked there longer than any ticket will allow...

Enjoy the rest of your day

Cheers

Rich

Try that excuse in court and I think you'll get a frosty reception... if you get my drift.

That said, i got a parking ticket yesterday.

Carnt get the car around the back to the drive as the side road is too snow steep and snow covered so i left it on the road at the front, but because others have had the same the only spaces are either marked out bays (1hour max, no rtn within2, between 8 and 6) or single yellows (no parking between 8 and 6) so i went for the bays.

Lift shared into work (i live with colleages and given the weather it seemed mad not to) and got back in the evening to a NCP.

Im appealing it as the lines where total covered and theres no where else i can put it but i was still and extra car on the road to work today to avoid re-occurence.

Funny as this morning the police station, which is opersite my house and said space, emptied their carpart onto the road as its its on enough of a slope to cause issues. I bet they dont get ruddy ticketed!

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

I imagine they could get you on "failure to display a valid ticket" on the basis that if they can't see it you haven't displayed one
