HS2 (High speed rail link) and Stoneleigh Park
Can't see this mentioned on here anywhere so let me know if its a repost.

Google maps have a route you can view but its been said that it's inaccurate and that the line will be more to the north east instead of
straight through the park.
ROUTE
As its been on the news today thought I'd highlight its route concerning stoneleigh and the possibility of construction or reduction in capacity

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes

we have a yard in Factory Rd Silvertown..
this is subject to a compulsary purchase as its going to be the opening for a tunnel on the new Crossrail line.
is this a different rail link to the one you are talking about as the route on the map doesnt go anywhere near it?

Going by that wiki entry they are going to be putting a station in at Silvertown at a later date -

On the face of it, good idea.
However why are we going for second best, again?
A 200mph rail service? Big f**king whoop China's got a 350mph one! Get that built you stupid half-arsed low-expectation motherf**kers! Next
you'll be bragging that it only went £20 million over budget.
Yeah personally I'd have a maglev network running alongside the M1 and M6 stopping at London, Birmingham, Manchester and somewhere else further
north (Edinburgh?) and then Newcastle and Glasgow? So when everyone's sat in traffic they can see this train shoot by at such a pace

Whilst broadly in favour of improving railways and indeed public transport in general, I am rapidly forming the opinion that HS2 is going to be as
badly envisaged, planned, executed and managed as the rest of the rail network currently is.
We may as well give up and just hand the rest of our railways over to the Germans... at least they'd run them better!
If disfunction is a function, then I must be some kind of genius.
