Damage free corsa break in...

If anyone knows how, could you PM me and let me know? I've just locked my car (corsa B) with the key in the ignition and I don't own a spare

If there are any OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG posts about spreading this info then Im sure several members on here can vouch for me not being a pikey

rac or aa can open them from the window as the car wont be dead locked they can put in a rubber inflateable bag in the door and pull the latch open.

if it has a rubber quarter light surround you used to be able to remove the quarter light without damaging the window (even if you do they are about £15 from scrappers) and then pull the handle.

(if you dont have a quarter light get the RAC or AA.

good luck with that.

other option is order a spare from vauxhall which will cost you about £30-40 and come next day.

if the car is running just put ye foot over exhaust it will stall.

cheers

Hope it is in a secure area. Otherwise I would break the window before somebody else does. Insurance won't want to cough if the car is nicked that way
I have had success using length of thickish wire and poking about between doorseal and frame. That was a mid 90's cavalier though, sharp end on wire, bent so I could force it against the lifty uppy tap and get enough grip to pull it up.
Otherwise car breakdown peeps may be able to help if you are AA/RAC/Green flag etc etc member?

Im an AA member so that might be easiest.

The engines off, just forgot to lift the key before I shut the door. Cars TPO insurance anyway but yeah, key sitting in the ignition isnt ideal!

Rear windows are bonded in and fronts are one piece.

I'd make your self a slim jim or some thick wire with a hook, remove the window seal/rubber if you want to save damage. Then pull the door lock pin. The Corsa B wasn't made with security in mind. I wouldn't bend the door frame. I've seen people make a pigs ear of it and crease the metal.

Called the AA in the end (didnt know they did it) and a gent came out on a motorbike and eased the frame with plastic wedges and an airbag and wound the window down with a long wire
