Tin top problem

VW passat osr door will not open from inside or outside so have brought new door. Have come to the conclusion that i am going to have to cut a window in the outer skin to open door.
Anyone got ant other ideas how to open it.

I'd think if you remove the door card (and seeing as you already have another one you could rip it up) and do it manually from the inside?

You can get the door card off and break the outer cover of the lock off to open it. Common on 04-06 passats

Have you tried unlocking it?

Should read - are you sure its unlocked / unlocking?

you can get the door card of with swearing and hard work had to do this with mine IIRC.

though try activating the handle and central locking while pushing the door against its door seals several times might be worth a try.

Can you hear the lock working inside the door when operating the remote? Try comparing with other side door that is OK. Might not be unlocking internally. I assume inside and outside handles arent operating.
