Tin Top help
Hi fellas, I have a VW Passat estate and the drivers door when opened doesn't switch on the interior lights or alert you about leaving
headlights on, and worst of all, it locks the dam keys in the car.
I have taken door apart and found that the micro switch in the mechanical part of the lock has broken the pin.
Can anyone point me the right place for purchasing said micro switch so I don't have to buy the complete lock.
Thanks in advance
Brad.

I am going to remove this switch on Friday. There are two wires going to the switch, when the button is pressed in the car thinks the door is open. So
do I connect the two wires together to fool the car in thinking the door is closed or do I leave the wires disconnected.
Brad.

I'd guess connected would be open but thats purely a guess, best to just have a go and see what happens.
