Just filled up at Tesco - Unleaded £0.78 per litre!
No, I'm not joking. But don't get too excited 
Went to tesco - forecourt full.. Pulled up, filled a full tank (a massive 32 litres in my Micra) of 95-vintage unleaded.
Go inside the kiosk to pay - "Pump #2 please".
The (surprisingly polite) youth on the other side then asks "do you mean the one behind it?"
"No"
"You sure you didn't move your car after filling up"
"Positive"
"Pump number 2's been paid"
"Umm..."
Cue next 5 minutes where they try to figure out who paid for my fuel. Turns out it was the person in the brand new Kia at pump #1 who paid for the
wrong pump and promptly left. Their car was then flagged as a no-pay runner on the computer !
Which means I got offered by the staff to settle their bill - £25.
32 litres for £25 - 0.78ppl
To whoever paid for my petrol - thanks! No idea how you end up paying near TWICE what you filled up, without noticing!!!

Same thing happened to me on A14 near kettering.
I was filling up, the only customer, when a BMW squealed into the filling station and screeched to a standstill at the opposite pump. Driver leapt
out, rammed the nozzle in and squeezed for about 20 seconds, shoved nozzle back in holster and sprinted to the kiosk. Out again in another 20 seconds
and left two black lines on the tarmac on his way out.
Well you can see what's coming next! When I went in to pay the only outstanding bill on the pump was £5! and I had just filled my Merc tank up
full.
The man said that the only solution was for me to pay the Beemers bill as he couldn't reverse the precious transaction and otherwise his till
wouldn't balance. Reeesult !!

Read this thread earlier so went out, chucked in bang on a hundred quids worth of diesel hoping someone would rush in in front of me to pay!
No such luck
