Anyone based in the SF bay area?

As per title, I'm in Palo Alto at present, just curios if any LCB members are local?

The title is a clue... (hint: "SF bay area", as in "San Francisco" )

You'll have a little trouble finding guys here in the US, but there are a few of us. You will find however that this forum is extremely nice and willing to help even when we ask questions that have been answered multiple times before. I'm located in central FL and another forum member Alan B is in FL as well..... although technically I haven't built anything yet.

Good hunting!

I think he might be visiting the US on holiday or for work maybe

Isn't there a Locost USA website/forum? Might be worth a nose if you're there for a while.

Yes there is, www.locostusa.com but they don't have near the amount of members that this forum does. Bunch of nice guys though, I've chatted with several of them. The truth of the matter is the locost craze isn't as big here as it is in the UK. Most guys here want the cobra replicas with HUGE v8's in them, which are awesome in their own right. Small nimble cars just don't seem to have the same following.

LOL - that's because you don't have enough bends to play on

That said, there's really something quite sensual about the burble of a big capacity V8 from tick over to full throtte
