Another mini camcorder

This is expensive at £22 from the UK at present and may go down later, but seems to offer motion detection and re-rap over old video.

For me it has a screen to see what it is pointing at rather then my MD80 to which is a bit of a guess.

I will report when I get it.

Looks pretty good - the screen is a big advantage over the 'point & guess' variety.

Youtube review of the ALADE G200 HERE

The G200 in the review is specced as HD with a res of 1280x960. However the reviewer at the end of the clip says its more like 640x480 which tallies with the spec of the one you linked to on ebay.

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

Mini Camcorder review

The camera arrived back end of the week and have used it today on the car during an autosolo.

Sound not very good, very similar to the MD80, it suffers a problem of pick-up from the chassis. Perhaps my problem is being directly taped on to the roll bar it picks up all the noise and vibrations same as if you placed your ear against the roll bar. Would think both this and the MD80 would benefit from a foam type mount to dampen vibration.

As to the picture quality, not as good as the MD80 ( that is higher res slightly) and perhaps a little darker then needed.

But any whay here is a link to a sample video:

G200 sample avi

The link is to a 35 meg avi file so if you have a slow connection it takes time.

Still useful.
