Sat Nav Help

Morning All

I have a TomTom Go710 which has a standard 1gig memory card, however the card is so full I have had to delete some of the extras so that i can apply the standard update patches

I go to Majorca in a couple of days and want to download the Majorcan map, so I thought i would buy a 4gig card and copy over the files leaving plenty of room for new maps and updates

However I now need to re-register the maps using the product code on the CD or outer box, however I have had the TT for about 5 years and have no idea where either are (this is a genuine request, This is not a dodgy knocked off Tomtom BTW)

I have had a surf round and seen suggestions and links pointing to various Keygens, but none seem to work, and Im pretty sure If one did I wound't know what to do with it

Im loath to buy a new TT as I have Sat Nav in my car already and it would just sit idol in the cupboard bar a few Westfield excursions, and I have had the mispleasure of Tomtom customer services before, im not sure that I can bear the thought of trying them again

If i cant fix it i can hire one from the airport, just trying to save a few quid

Cheers

Stephen

The files are normally copy protected in some way and the re-register request is legit. Just punch in the numbers from the CD and everything should carry on as usual with the larger SD card.

edit - just reread your post and you can't find the numbers. Have you tried their helpline?

Is 'product code' maybe referring to the device serial number?

If it does you can retrieve this by tapping the small white box that gives the version number. You can normally bring this up by tapping the blue box on the navigation screen that gives the various projected journey times, speed, etc. It's usually a 10 digit alpha-numeric code just above the tomtom web address.

I stress this is only a suggestion, I don't for sure what 'product code' refers to.......
