Suffering with terrible wind....

not sure this is going to be waterproof any more :

The cold weather made it brittle and the winds of the last few days ripped it apart.

Shows how juvenile my mind is, when I saw the title I was thinking about stomach problems....

I bought a Clarke motorcycle cover about two years ago, it was the 'deluxe' model and that got sunfaded and ripped to shreds by the wind and rain within about two months.

Does anybody have recommendations for a decent cover manufacturer? I've yet to find one.

A couple of companies advertise in the Kit Car mags.

My Machine Mart covers have lasted years, inside and out.

This one has lasted 18 months. Just a cheapy from ebay, PVC outer and a softer “papery” inner side. ( about £40 IIRC ) Has been pretty waterproof up to now, so can’t complain.

It was really the very cold winter that killed it. The PVC outer started to crack wherever it had a crease. It has now just split along all those cracks.

What I really need is a new house with a garage !

If that's where it's always parked it looks like the perfect spot for a little carport

Hahahaha, now you're showing me up to be a tight ar$e too! I think 40 quid on a car cover is expensive if it only lasts for 18 months! I think I'll just have to figh with the parents next time I'm back in the UK to make sure I can get some garage space...

I know what you mean. I'm struggling to accept I have to pay out for another one. £40 seems pretty budget end of the market though. I've seen posts from people who spend £100+

I think in LCB style I'll tape it back together and add some bits of polythene sheet.

Wouldn't the true locost way be to punch a hole in the floor so that the water drains out?
