Westie crash a82
just seen a westie in the trees at the side of the a82 between onich and fort william, looked nasty, snapped in half at the bulkhead, although cockpit
was intact, so hopefully the occupants walked away.
When we got to fort william, there were three westies parked in the car park opposite the hospital......
Makes you go cold,horrible sight...

having recently shunted mine, I feel for the driver, just hope that every one is ok!
Car's can be fixed, people less so.

Glad he's ok
Glad the fella is ok, diesel is evil stuff, hope the fire brigade or such like was called to hose the road down.
Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

How the hell did that happen? Cars don't usually split in half at the bulkhead?

Eeek!
If he'd hit the tree a few inches further back then his injuries would have been far worse. Mind you, hitting a tree in ANY car is bad news - a
neighbour's wife got killed a year or so back in the passenger seat of a Mondeo after going sideways into one. Fifth Gear ran a car at 40 or 50
into a dead tree - the engine ended up next to the back seat!
It does make me wonder whether a full cage is required on my car...

Quite often the fire brigade cut them in half in order to extract the people out
This was the case at the knockhill hairpin with a
This one seems to have done the job for them.

Glad the guys ok
