Anybody know much about Alfa GT Juniors?

The 105 series I think they were called, basically 1970-1971 GT Coupes with a 1300 engine.

Anybody on here know what they are currently worth in UK, as a private sale in good original condition (no nut/bolt restoration), with no rust and in working mechanical order (would have MOT obviously).

I've can get my hand on 3 of these beasts (ironically all 3 are 1971 models), and am just wondering whether it's worth importing them into the UK to sell on.

Tempted by one just for myself, they look marvelous!

Thanks - I have found that one on ebay too

Unfortunately i don't know what Scalino means or whether it is relevant.

The ones I'm looking at are definitely 1300, not 1350 designation. Although shape-wise they are identical and I can't see any differences other than the lack of hubcaps.

Also the ones I'm looking at have more realistic mileages (30-60k) so I can't really go by the price tag of the ebay one. The only ones I can find in the UK are all restored mint examples - nothing that is a real world original car, which is more of what I can get my hands on.

All the ones I'm looking at have 1-3 original owners, and are all RHD from the factory.

My first car in 1978 was a 105 Alfa 1300 GT Junior 1290cc, there was also a 1301cc available due to crazy Italian car tax laws.

Watch out for jumping out of reverse under light load, gearbox rear mounts failed regularly and at the time quite expensive. Rear suspension mounts corroded to the point of detaching themselves completely. Headgaskets were prone to blowing out if thrashed, but on the whole, it was tremendous fun.

Mine was just a 10 year old banger, before they became a classic - wish I had it now!

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
