Vision Sports Racer
Always thought these looked fantastic.
Unfortunately, they're now starting to fall into the anoraks only category with most people never having heard of them.
Clubmans as a formula is pretty low level these days, I understand though.
What a car though.

Like a Panoz only predates is by a long distance.
1985-86 would be when these first came out, 1986 I think.

Yes we are lovely car! - whatever happened to Clubman racing? they are/were proper race cars and 25 years ago most race meetings were packed with
Clubman races, now you just really only see them hillclimbing or sprinting, I know there is a BARC class for them but only about 20 people seem to
take part - there must be hundreds of them rotting away in peoples garages

They were and remain magnificent.
One of my favourite theories is based on watching Clubmans cars.
The B cars had an FF1600 engine and no airbox and sounded pretty bleeehhh....
The 'A' cars had 1700 xflows, steel bottom ends, huge valves, twin 45s, and a big forward facing airbox.
These sounded fecking mega, especially when they were headed right towards you.
A bit like the E30 M3 with S14 engine in terms of focused induction noise.
A metallic bark that would raise the dead.
Lovely.
Since I first heard that sound, a proper racing car has to have proper focused attnetion grabbing induction noise.
