Tin top lights and mot question

Quick question for you lot in the know

Ford puma keeps blowing light stalk. I have tried find the cause of the problem and also asked a few mechanics i know to have a quick look but theres nothing obvious.
I havent asked them to look in great detail Mainly because its a old car worth nowt so im not going to pay alot for repairing it.

I have linked out the stalk so the lights are permenantly on when ignition is on and all the wires are tidy and out of reach. It has been like this no problem for about 6 months. Indicators / hazards / brake and fog lights all work as normal

Question is is this a problem with the mot next month.

Side lights ( position lights) must be able to be seen working, not always possible if they are in the headlight
